On August 4, Bellator: An Anthology of Warriors of Space & Magic released and this is the secondĀ of several character interviews from the short stories in it! I hope that you enjoy meeting the characters as much as I did!

A Chat with Captain Redder

Bella: What is the name of the book where we’ll find you? Can you tell us a little about it?
Captain Redder: The book is called Ghosts. It is about a mission my crew and I undertook on Ankdar.

Bella: Tell us a little about yourself. Where do you fit into the story? What should we know about you?
Captain Redder: I pilot a Systern Chopper. Not much to say about me, except I do my job. My crew are the heroes in this tale.

Bella: What do you think of the author? Be honest. We won’t tell.
Captain Redder: When she asked to tell my story I was a little nervous, first time author and all, but I think she handled it like a trooper.

Bella: How do you feel about the story you’re in?
Captain Redder: Pretty damn proud I can share what we went through.

Bella: Do you like being a character in the book?
Captain Redder: If I could have left myself out of it I would have. Never want to be a hero in a tale, they usually don’t get to enjoy a long life.

Bella: How do you see your future? Without giving anything away about the story, naturally.
Captain Redder: Would like to get myself home to my wife and daughter and retire comfortably.

Bella: What do you know about your author’s plans? Can we expect to see you in any future stories?
Captain Redder: She hasn’t asked me, suppose I would consider it if she did. Like to help a lady out.

Bella: Let’s say they make a movie about this book. Who do you want to play you, and why?
Captain Redder: You mean a story vid? Hmm, there was this old Earth actor I see in collectibles on occasion, was on the screen as a warrior. Think his name is Kevin McKidd.

About the Book

Science Fiction and Fantasy, two genres that are both unalike and inextricably entwined, stretching the imagination to the expansive boundaries of time, space, and magic. These boundaries are often filled with warriors and war, fights and causes worth fighting for, and that’s what you’ll find in this anthology.

From fighting aliens in space to demons in a world of magic, you’ll find many stories to suit your starship’s entertainment collection or your favorite bard at the local tavern…or just your imagination here and now. Sit back and enjoy twelve stories from authors both familiar and new!

100% of the proceeds to be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project.
