About the Book

The Succubus Gift

The transition between teenager to university to graduation is difficult and confusing for everyone. As an orphan and a prodigy who entered college at sixteen, harboring secrets she dares not reveal, Brenna Morgan’s journey is more complicated than most. Then one evening she stumbles across a young man who promises to answer all her questions if she’ll trust him. The history of the Clans, called the Sidhe by the Irish, stretches back to antiquity. The Goddess blesses Her people with 25 Telepathic Gifts. In addition to Telepathy, the Gifts include command over Air and Fire, Telekinesis and Teleportation. In over 2,500 years, She has never bestowed more than 15 Gifts on a single person. Brenna’s life isn’t the same after she discovers her unusual and mysterious heritage. In addition to being a telepath, Brenna learns she has the Succubus Gift. That’s just the beginning of her problems. Someone is stalking her. Then there’s the tall, dangerous woman who shadows her and hints a Goddess has linked them. And what is she going to do with a handsome, charismatic, womanizing man she knows she should avoid? Some days a girl just wants to pull the covers over her head and stay in bed — with a willing young man of course. Urban Fantasy with a dash of romance. The Succubus Gift is a completely different take on the succubus myth. Beautiful women and hot men in a world with a hidden telepathic subculture.

Succubus Unleashed

It’s not easy being a succubus. Brenna O’Donnell and Rebecca Healy continue their integration into the Clan. Learning more about their Gifts and always seeking someone who will love them. After a crash course in learning about her genetic heritage, Brenna O’Donnell has discovered what it really means to be a succubus and has learned to embrace her strange Gift. Her major concern is whether Collin will accept her for what she is. As she adjusts to telepathic society, others in the Clan have plans that will strip the last of her freedom. The social season is around the corner, including events that Brenna never imagined in her wildest dreams. The succubi, representatives of the Goddess on earth, are at the center of an ancient worship. And if a girl is going to be the center of attention, then obviously she needs a new dress. Between the romance and glistening balls of the Clan’s social events, Brenna and Rebecca discover life is not secure. Telepaths from other Clans are kidnapping young girls and selling them into slavery.

Succubus Rising

The Goddess has plans for Brenna and Rebecca, and the Goddess has a wicked sense of humor. Rebecca Healy is a true wilder, growing up with no contact or knowledge of other telepaths. Discovered by a Clan member on the streets of San Francisco, she felt like she’d hit the jackpot. Finally, she knew what she was, or at least she thought she did. When Brenna O’Donnell, long-lost heir of the O’Donnell Clan, and the strongest telepath in history, is returned to her family, she and Rebecca form a tight bond. Brenna has it all, looks, money, power, and men falling all over her. Rebecca isn’t jealous, but it would be nice to find someone who would really love her and stick around in the morning. She’s intrigued by a handsome South American general, but of course, he has his sights set on Brenna. Carlos de Vargas wants more than love. His Clan has its back to the wall, and they hope for an alliance with O’Donnell. An alliance that would lead to war. The story began in The Succubus Gift and continued in Succubus Unleashed. In Succubus Rising, questions are answered and new mysteries are revealed.

Succubus Ascendant

As the strongest telepath in history, the Irish Clan Chiefs expect Brenna O’Donnell to unite the Clans. Brenna prays that those leaders, her grandfathers and great-uncle, will all live forever, but the Goddess evidently isn’t listening. Some of her relatives have also been waiting for the old patriarchs to die or retire, and they aren’t planning to let Brenna’s inheritances go unchallenged. Facing rebellion and civil war, Brenna turns to her young friends and other succubi, the Irish Druids, for support.

One of those friends has troubles of her own. Irina’s grandfather is also a Clan Chief, in Russia. When he tries to kidnap her, she must find out the truths of her origins. Her search leads her into her ancestral homeland, where she discovers divisions and threats that echo Brenna’s in Ireland.

Whether the Clans are ready for it or not, powerful young women have decided that taking control is their only choice. To save everything they hold dear, and their own lives, they had better be as good as everyone thinks they are.

Broken Dolls

Private investigator RB Kendrick makes her living nailing cheating spouses, digging up other dirt to help in a divorce, finding long-lost relatives, and occasionally sniffing out criminal activity and fraud. When she takes a job to find a missing girl, she has no idea she is headed for the most dangerous case of her career. Usually, her ability to read minds gives her an edge. But when the people she’s hunting are also telepaths, that advantage is limited. The search takes her into the dark underbelly of telepathic society, where anything, and anyone, is for sale. She discovers that telepathic women and girls are being trafficked as the ultimate sex slaves. With people trying to kill her, she’s on the run, not knowing who she can trust. Will she find the missing girl, or become a victim herself?

About the Book

The Species Within

Kira, a huntress plagued by dreams of fire and pain has worked tirelessly to rid her city of the scourge that has nearly destroyed it…nostvores, mythlend creatures with dark and vast appetites for blood and sex. She does this not only because they had killed so many people in her life, but also because she has an edge that no other human had…she has their abilities. The problem was, these abilities were killing her and she feared time was no longer on her side.

So the moment she found out that Darius, a nostvore leader was threatening to awaken an indestructible species to help him enslave all humans and mythlends, and that she may be the key to his plan, she knew her only choice was to risk her life with the little time that she had left and join her enemy to find out why, and to make sure his plan failed.

If that wasn’t dangerous enough, the more time she spends with the Vanatre nostvore Emmerich, and the mooran Kuron, who she brings with her for protection, the less she wants to kill them. Instead, she feels an unexplainable attraction towards them both, and she fears surrendering to such desire with either is a deadly game to play, for she would not only be risking her life, but quite possibly her heart.

The Ultimate Killer

Brought back to life, Kira awoke to a world where she no longer belonged. She was one of them now…a mythlend, the scourge that she’d lived her entire life hunting. What was worse, she had become the species that she and a number of other mythlends had tried desperately to stop from being awoken…the Hunrati.

But they had failed.

By the time Kira had opened her eyes, the Hunrati were already living up to their reputation, torturing, massacring, burning cities to the ground like all indestructible killing machines do when they see themselves as gods; any resistance to their actions were therefore deemed futile within days of their first appearance.

Kira wanted to stop them, but she had become their prisoner when she attacked their Queen out of rage for what they had done, and as such, she was rendered incapable of using any of her abilities.

Trapped, alone, and not knowing what had happened to those she cared about, her only way out was to earn their trust. That meant getting close to the volatile and extremely attractive Pheres, and doing everything he instructed, regardless of how depraved it was.

But how close was she willing to allow such a dangerous creature when he wasn’t the man she loved?

Better yet…how far was she willing to go before she lost her humanity completely?

Sasha Marshall's Quote Art

About the Book

Henley Hendrix has been a guitar prodigy since the age of 12, and has grown up in rock-n-roll her entire life. By the age of 22 she was the Queen of rock-n-roll, and lead singer/guitarist in her band Abandoned Shadow. Women wanted to be her, and men simply wanted her. Tragedy strikes and she walks away from music for four years. She spends four years attempting to pick up the pieces of her life, then she is slowly pulled back to the only things she has ever loved, music and Jagger Carlyle.

Jagger is People’s Sexiest Man Alive, and rock’s biggest bad boy, and every woman wants to bed him, while every man wants to be him. Jagger presses her to tour with his and her brother’s band, Broken Access, and sparks fly. Her eyes are opened back up to music, and to the boy she fell in love with in the sixth grade.

The journey is marked by Henley’s fears of her past, and how to proceed with her music career. She is surrounded by comic relief, and most of all love, but will the pressures of the rich and famous be too much after her sabbatical? Will the cameras and the women be too much for her?

If you are looking for a story of redemption with comic relief and a heavy sexual mind, you’ve found it. If you are offended by hot, tattooed rock stars who are vulgar then this is not the book for you. Please be warned, this book is not for anyone below the age of 18. The book contains sex, death, violence, and harsh language.

About the Author

I am a Georgia native, who loves bad boys, tattoos, rock-n-roll, and sexy books. I toured during the 2009 reunion tour with The Allman Brothers as their photographer. I had the time of my life, and through those experiences, I gained an insight into the world of the rich and famous.

The “Guitar Face” story has lived in my crazy mind for many years. I did nothing but eat, sleep, and write “Guitar Face” for a solid week in April, 2014. I laughed and cried with each of these characters, and immensely enjoy reading this story the many times I have. I hope you enjoy reading this story as much as I did writing it.

I love music, dogs, children, family, friends, and tattoos. I combined all of these into this story, & what better way to incorporate some of my favorite things than gorgeous, tatted rock stars.

Review: “…Can Be Gold” by Serena Akeroyd

“…Can Be Gold” by Serena Akeroyd

Available from: Amazon
Released on: 11 January 2013

Description: The Simone of old no longer exists. She has transmogrified into a woman with whom she can’t reconcile but who she must eventually come to accept. This new Mona is stronger, sexier and with an innate power that she’s only just beginning to understand.

For Zane, she has put her very soul on the line. She has dragged herself to the outer limits of her principles and has entered uncharted territory. All for the man who helped form this new creature that calls herself Simone Barranquet.

But was it worth it? Is he worthy of her sacrifice?

And what of Jake? Is he manipulating her or does he really share the same aspirations? When two enemies unite and become allies, the man at the center of the battle is key.

But will Zane concur? Is he strong enough to accept them both, to have what he’s never known he’s always wanted?

Review: This is the fourth and final installment in the Naughty Nookie: Simone series of novellas, which I have read and reviewed all of: Fall Into Love, Crazy Little Thing Called Lust, and All That Glitters….

I’ve enjoyed all of this story’s predecessors and I enjoyed this one as well. I love stories and particularly love stories that are not like every other love story out there, diverging in ways that are truly different. Akeroyd has done that well here. In this series, she shows that Love, Lust and Life are complicated things that will not be bound by convention or the impositions of society. These four parts of Simone’s story are testament to that, and that’s what I’ve liked about them.

Love should never be narrowly construed.

Happily, Mona (Simone) didn’t annoy me as she did in the first couple. She has come to accept that she’s not like everyone else and not meant to live her life like them, and I like that about her now. Although I did want to shake her (all of them, really) when they were struggling about the unconventional nature of what they want, at the “it’s just not done,” and say: Get thee to the internet! One Google search would’ve cleared that up right fast.

Mona’s narrative voice continues to be engaging, and there was a lot of awkwardness and uncertainty woven through out, which was realistic and thus I liked it. And the sex scenes were all pretty good, too.

The one thing I’m still not sure on is the last two chapters. Do those sorts of attitudes exist? Yes. Do those sorts of things happen? Yes. Was the abruptness of it realistic? Yes. But to have it happen and then kind of be skipped over in two short chapters didn’t set well with me, though I can’t say I thought it totally “wrong” for the story. So my jury is still out on that.

Otherwise, however, I liked this concluding chapter as much as the three before it. For anyone with an open mind and an enjoyment for love stories that are truly different, and yet not at all because love is always love, then I’d recommend it. 4 Fireballs.

Review: “The Most Unlikely Lady” by Barbara Devlin

“The Most Unlikely Lady” by Barbara Devlin

Available from: Amazon
Released on: 16 November 2013

Description: Book Three in the Brethren of the Coast Series.

Woo a young lady with a fishing rod and a bucket of worms? Oh-so dashing–but untitled–Everett Markham seeks a bride, and he has charged the field of Miss Sabrina Douglas, a woman who prefers trout to truffles. But, sometimes, even when both hearts are engaged, happily ever after isn’t so smooth a journey.

Unabashed and unapologetic, Sabrina sets her cap for a second son, one who will smile patiently when he comes home to find she’s misplaced their children. But marriage changes her in ways she could never have imagined, as the awkward debutante surrenders to a very real, very womanly, all-consuming love.

An irresistibly handsome English rogue, Everett plots his future with ruthless detail, but his future wife is anything but predictable, resulting in the zaniest courtship London society has ever seen. When a family tragedy upends his life, on his wedding day, no less, he must chart a slippery course with his most unlikely lady–as the new Earl and Countess of Woverton.

Review: Well, it’s book number three and I’m still totally fangirling it up.

“The Most Unlikely Lady” is more much light of heart than “My Lady, The Spy” but that totally makes sense. (It’s like Star Trek IV being a romp after the life, death, life of II and III. Yes, I’m a trekkie, live with it.) The book of course has its serious side, but not nearly as dark as book two got. Each book has suited the hero and heroine it featured very nicely.

Devlin’s ability to write amusing scenarios and scenes, and remarkably witty and oft hysterical dialog, remains unparalleled in my eyes. And the “buddy” scenes with past characters, background characters and soon-to-be-featured characters are just great. I love them.

Sabrina is quite the spitfire in this book, and the ups and downs she goes through trying to find her way will get you right in the gut. As well as our dear hero’s struggle to get things “right” and often making the wrong choices in that attempt. You’re definitely rooting for them as the characters who were always just left of the rest of the crowd, in many ways, find their way together.

Our intrepid author has a wonderful way with strong yet vulnerable female characters and the strong yet vulnerable male characters who catch but do not try to tame them. (I’m fond of that, personally.) It’s real men who fall in love with real woman, and they want each other to stay just how they are. To be their true selves, together, in all their glories and flaws.

Which is what true love is about.

Of the three, this book did have a few moments that treaded closer to the contrivances that can annoy me in other romances, but never toed the line and certainly never went over. And sometimes those scenes are realistic, so I could roll with it. The new wife versus mother-in-law went on a bit long (to me) but again, not so bad as to pull me out. No eye rolling took place, so we’re good. Did make the post-highwaymen scene particularly wonderful, though.

I will note there’s less of the seafaring to this one than the previous two, but that’s okay. It’s still in the same circle of people, and we love the people.

The scene with the boys talking about fishing and the worms? Thank god I wasn’t drinking anything… And the scene with Elizabeth, Cecilia and Sabrina had me giggling like crazy. Oh, and there was a line about something that looked like an angry pirate, which I actually texted the quote to my husband because it amused me so much.

This is another winner from Barbara Devlin and another enthusiastic, I-need-a-I-Heart-Brotherhood-of-the-Coast T-shirt, fangirl 5 Fireballs for me. As soon as I hit post, I’m going to email the author and find out about the next book…
